Cornelia Battery No 1 Gun Emplacement
a principal defensive position during World War 2The Cornelia Battery was a principal defensive position for repelling any enemy activity in Blouberg channel during World War 2.
Construction of the Cornelia Battery began in 1939. The coastal artillery was disbanded in 1958. Only the circular mounting for a 6 inch quick firing Naval gun remains.
