The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York Memorial
to commemorate the visit of the Duke and Duchess to Cape TownThe memorial was erected by the citizens of Cape Town to commemorate the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York to the city on 20 August 1901. The royal couple were later to be crowned King George V and Queen Mary.
The memorial was erected in front of the Somerset Hospital.
