houses the South African Maritime Museum

Built in 1919 for Union Castle Mail Steamship Company the building houses the South African Maritime Museum today. The museum showcases the maritime history of Table Bay and houses the largest collection of model ships in South Africa.

Part of the museum's floating exhibits in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront include the SAS Somerset, a retired Naval Defence Boom Vessel.
